LISRC provides CFM® exam preparation and enrollment advisory — we are an independent coaching and exam-prep specialist, not an IFMA Education Training Affiliate. The official CFM credential is issued only by IFMA. Our role is to prepare you to pass the IFMA CFM exam through a 40-hour IFMA-aligned curriculum, mock exams, and one-on-one coaching, then guide you through enrollment with IFMA directly.

IFMA requires a combination of education and facility management experience. The standard paths are: (1) a bachelor's degree plus 3 years of FM experience, (2) an associate degree or diploma plus 5 years of FM experience, or (3) 8 years of FM experience with no degree. UAE and Saudi engineering qualifications are typically accepted when accompanied by relevant work experience. Our admissions team assesses your eligibility in a free consultation before you enroll.

There are two costs: (1) the LISRC exam preparation program — starting at AED 5,400 with interest-free installments and early-bird discounts; and (2) the IFMA exam fee paid separately to IFMA — approximately AED 2,995 for IFMA members and AED 3,730 for non-members, plus a one-time application fee. Total candidate cost typically lands between AED 8,000 and AED 12,000 depending on package and IFMA membership status.

IFMA does not publish an official global pass rate. Across our last four cohorts in Dubai, 94% of LISRC candidates passed the CFM exam on their first attempt. Internationally reported pass rates for the CFM exam typically range between 60% and 70% — structured preparation, mock exams, and coaching are strongly correlated with first-attempt success.

Most candidates complete the full preparation program in 12–16 weeks at 10–15 hours per week. LISRC's hybrid format combines live weekend sessions, self-paced modules, and AI-powered practice labs, so you can move faster or slower based on your schedule. All study materials remain accessible for 12 months, and 90% of our candidates sit the IFMA exam within 4–6 months of starting the program.

Yes. The CFM is the most widely recognized FM credential across the GCC. Major employers including Emaar, ADNOC, DEWA, Saudi Aramco, NEOM, and Aldar specifically seek CFM-certified facility managers. Many UAE and Saudi public-sector and healthcare employer job postings list CFM as a preferred or required qualification for senior FM roles.

The FMP (Facility Management Professional) is a foundational credential ideal for early-career FMs with under 3 years of experience. The CFM is the senior-level certification requiring proven experience and is typically taken after 3+ years in the field. If you already have 3+ years of FM experience and a degree, go straight to CFM. If you are newer to FM or transitioning from a related field (engineering, real estate, hospitality), starting with FMP gives a stronger foundation before sitting CFM.

The IFMA CFM® exam is a competency-based examination administered through Pearson VUE test centers (including locations across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Doha) or via online proctoring. It covers all 11 IFMA core competency areas through scenario-based questions designed to validate senior-level decision-making — not just memorization. The exam runs approximately 4 hours.

If you complete the program, attend all mock exams, and still do not pass the IFMA CFM exam on your first attempt, you receive extended access to all study materials, additional one-on-one coaching sessions, and a free retake registration — at no additional cost.

The CFM credential is valid for three years. To maintain it, IFMA requires 120 maintenance points (or equivalent continuing education units) within each three-year cycle, accumulated through approved professional development activities — courses, conferences, webinars, and IFMA chapter participation. LISRC offers approved CEU programs and tracks your progress to keep your CFM active.

Yes. Approximately 40% of our candidates join from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman through the live online and self-paced tracks. The IFMA CFM exam can be taken via online proctoring or at any Pearson VUE test center across the GCC and globally. Our coaching is delivered in English, and all materials remain accessible for 12 months.
